I am a champion of student success, a developer of engaging learning experiences, and I pursue a never-ending journey to get to the heart and soul of what it means to be an excellent educator! My research and professional positions allow me the opportunity explore the intersection of student identity and motivation. I also love creating courses that incite curiosity and passion as students learn new material that helps them advance in their careers and personal lives. I have a passion for finding out what allows students and teachers to be successful as they work to achieve their goals.
Outside of work, I love to exercise (running and yoga mainly), cook and eat great food, spend time with my two Basenji’s, enjoy time with my fiancée, John, and travel for work and fun.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in government and a secondary education certificate from Connecticut College (Go Camels!). I am a proud graduate of The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) where I earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
