Hello! My name is Meica.
I have always loved school, and my work in instructional design gives me an opportunity to sit ringside. I have worked in the areas of higher education and corporate talent management for about a decade. During this time, I have designed and developed online, in-person, and blended courses. My work in higher education also includes the facilitation of courses in human resources, business, career development, and general education, revision of courses to meet accreditation standards, and the transition of courses from in-person to online.
I am experienced in the use of Blackboard, Canvas, eCollege, and Moodle. I also enjoy using tools like Camtasia and Articulate Storyline 360 to create learning assets and tutorials.
I completed the Quality Matters Apply the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) course and am a member of the Quality Matter’s professional association.
I earned an M.A. in Human Resource Management with a dual focus on Organizational Leadership and Change from National University, M.S. in Administrative Leadership and with a concentration on Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. I also studied instructional design at the University of Wisconsin – Stout and earned a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design.
